While expecting my first little princess I began contemplating my future. I knew the obscure hours and stressful nature of my career as a Correctional Officer would not allow me the freedom to be the mother I strive to be. I also knew I needed something outside our home to focus on and soooo The Cuddly Bunny Co. was born. Since our grand opening in August of 2005 we have been blessed with another two little princesses and are thrilled that The Cuddly Bunny Co. is still going strong in our new location in at 180 Queen St! It is my goal to bring together a unique assortment of products in a family friendly environment. I particularly enjoy showcasing fabulous women who create wonderful goodies that you just can’t find in a box store. I love one of kind handmade products and all things natural. My current fav’s are Wild about Beads Tutus & Tiaras and Honeydumplings Buckwheat Mat. I truly hope that The Cuddly Bunny Co. will touch your life in a memorable way as it has ours!
Kristina - Manager
Having not yet submitted her bio for these purposes, Kristina clearly indicates just how busy being the manager of the Cuddly Bunny keeps her! When Kristina joined the team, we first noticed just how very tall she is. At 5'10, Kristina skewed the staff height average(5'0ft) allowing for just enough reach the store needed! With a wry sense of humor, an infectious laugh, Kristina keeps us reaching for the stars even on the cloudiest days. A mother of 2 school agers, and two on the way, Kristina KNOWS firsthand all about the products in store.
Colleen - Weekend Clerk/Web Person/Babywearing
I have been with the Cuddly Bunny family for over 2 years. I began so that I may focus on being able to parent my child (and now CHILDREN) without the distractions or stress of fulltime employment, yet still staying connected to the outside world. I believe that my pre-mom career in Counselling allows me to see beyond selling a product at the Cuddly Bunny. I assess what brings someone into the store and how we can help them: whether it be for a gift or simply someone to connect with even for a brief moment while we talk babies and baby gear. I focus largely on how we can support and build our growing Community, from within often that first contact to the parenting world, via the 'Baby Store' in town. We are often the first one to know so & so is having a baby. (which of course we keep as a secret between us!!!) I was founder and cofacilitator of the Toronto babywearing group, Carry Me Close. Thru my work with CMC, I learned the ins and outs of wearing your baby with various styles of carriers and the research/nitty-gritty on babycarriers including safety, proper positioning and attachment benefits, the babycarrier sewing industry and the cultural history across the world. As far as our products, I am often the one you hear squealing all the way down the road, when new products arrive. I currently love our Hatley collection and simply, i am in love with the new location in the Queen St Commons.
Courtney- Weekdays/Amazing Organizer
Apparently, Courtney is also kept very busy, as she too has not yet submitted a bio and is at the mercy of our webgirl to write a bio! Courtney is one of the best organizer's the Cuddly Bunny has encountered! Often working shifts following the tornado that is Colleen, Courtney will whip everything back into shape and precision! You could take a set square to her tissue paper stacks! Courtney adds a fresh perspective and engergy to the team and is greatly valued for her work ethic and insights.
