Babywearing Workshop

Friday February 26th at 6pm

at The Cuddly Bunny Co.

180 Queen St Port Perry ON L9L 1C4

Come learn the art of babywearing! Babywearing is a skill that we once passed down from generation to generation. Not all carriers suit all people, nor the tasks we wish to do! Not all baby carriers are equal either. With a sea of option, it can help have someone guide you to discover what may work for you and your family best!

We will cover:
-styles of carriers
-what carrier for what person/baby/task
-babywearing safety: carrier safety, positional safety for both wearer AND child
-age appropriate carries
-benefits of wearing your baby for both wearer and child

And of course...because those of you who know Colleen...theres always a good dose of:
-history of babywearing
-anthropological/cultural significance
-infant attachment theory
-science of safe babywearing

If you have a particular carrier you need assistance with, please email colleen@cuddlybunny.com

Please email colleen@cuddlybunny.com to register!

Space is limited to 10 adults, a waitlist will be created from any overflow, for a date shortly thereafter.

About the Facilitator:
Colleen is a parttime employee with the Cuddly Bunny Co. Colleen is the co-founder and ex-faciltiator of the Toronto Babywearing group, Carry Me Close.
Colleen has acted a safety tester for many popular brands of baby carriers on the market, both small and large production and is quite notorious for a frank analysis of baby carrier brands and her honest reviews especially when it comes to construction and safety!
Her babywearing interest began after the birth of her 1st child, 3.5 years ago. Having held a career previously in Addictions Counselling, intellectualizing Infant Attachment theory was a natural connection!
Now pursuing a degree in Anthropology part time while she focusses on being a mum and working at the Cuddly Bunny, Colleen has become known in the Port Perry area for her well rounded and detailed knowledge in the safety of baby wearing, its historical origins and the nitty gritty of its positive benefits.
